Objectives

To share choral practices and skills between outstanding choirs from SPCC and overseas schools (and possibly other local schools) |

To increase the participants’ knowledge in musical interpretation and styles |

To perform in concert venues with high international standards |

To establish lasting friendship among participating choristers |

To expose participants to the culture, arts and music of different countries |

To be acquainted with Chinese music and exposed to rare Chinese musical instruments, particularly those available at CUHK |

To learn more about campus life at CUHK |
Group Size
- The minimum size of each participating choir is 16 choristers, excluding the conductor, accompanist(s) and accompanying teachers or staff
- The maximum number of each choir is 45 people, including the conductor, accompanist(s) and accompanying teachers or staff
Repertoire for Choir-to-choir (CTC) Exchange Concert
- Jointly presented by all participating choirs on the last day (July 14th)
- Each choir will select and prepare its own repertoire prior to its arrival in Hong Kong
- Prepared repertoire: Choirs are to select their own pieces including:
- 1 piece from the participating choir’s home country / cultural region (to be sung at the Grand Concert on July 12th)
- 1 piece NOT from the participating choir’s home country / cultural region
- 1 a cappella piece
- Time limit: A maximum of 10 minutes of performance time at the CTC Concert
