OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the SPCC International MUN Conference are to:
- enable students to understand how the United Nations operates;
- allow students to engage in extensive research and animated debates to devise solutions to world problems;
- raise students' awareness of human rights issues and to encourage them to appreciate different viewpoints;
- foster students' rhetorical and negotiation skills;
- provide an opportunity for students to connect with people of different nationalities and from various cultural backgrounds to encourage an appreciation of different beliefs and cultures;
- develop students' confidence in expressing their views in formal and informal contexts.
