Message from the Council Chairman

Welcome to the Family of St. Paul's Co-educational College. Since our establishment in 1915 by the Sheng Kung Hui, we have developed a reputation as a vibrant community of scholarship and learning, producing alumni who are accomplished members of society with outstanding academic achievements and more importantly, a strong value system. We are proud of our family and we encourage you to learn more about us as you browse through our website.

We continuously seek ways to deliver quality education. We were one of the first schools to convert to a Direct Subsidy Scheme (DSS) school from an Aided school and I am delighted that our efforts are now paying off. Our initiatives include better facilities for our primary and college students, a higher teacher to student ratio as well as a more flexible curriculum. Our conversion will enable us to transform and upgrade ourselves from a good to a great institution that can embrace the challenges presented by the global knowledge-based world of today.

We aspire for our graduates to gain entry to the best universities in the world, and we aim to give them every support possible – in our curriculum, our teachers and our facilities. We commit to cultivate in our students:

  • an altruistic spirit of caring and sharing;
  • the passion for life-long learning in the pursuit of excellence;
  • the ability to think independently, critically and creatively; and
  • a global perspective and stewardship of the environment.

To live up to our promise, we will be staging many educational initiatives in the years to come and we welcome you to share our journey with us.

Professor Tam Sheung-wai
