SPCCMUN2015

About the Conference

SPCCMUN Conference 2024

St. Paul’s Co-educational College Model United Nations (SPCCMUN) is, like other MUN conferences, a simulation of the United Nations, offering students an exciting opportunity to play the roles of world leaders and diplomats representing nations in various committees. Throughout the process, delegates will gain insights into the dynamics of international relations and hone their skills especially public speaking, negotiation, teamwork and policy writing.

SPCCMUN Conference 2024

SPCC is proud to present the second iteration of SPCCMUN from 2 to 5 July 2024. At this conference, we embrace the overarching theme of sustainable development, featuring three councils, namely The European Union (EU), The Human Rights Council (HRC), and The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO). Delegates from our school and abroad will debate contentious issues ranging from Russo-Ukrainian War, child soldiers to preserving cultural heritage in hopes of drafting innovative solutions for a more sustainable, equitable future.

Over the course of four days, delegates will engage in rigorous debate and consensus building, they will also be enlightened by keynote speeches presented by experts in respective fields. To ensure the best possible conference experience, it is advisable for delegates to reside in nearby accommodation.

Sponsored by the Council of St. Paul’s Co-educational College Charitable Trust, we manage to set a reduced participation fee of only HK$800 (or US$103) per student. Accompanying teachers are to pay the same fee as student participants. The fee will cover expenses during the conference, including certain meals*, keynote speeches, committee sessions and conference publications. We expect participants to bear the costs of air passage, travel and medical insurance, airport transfers, accommodation and their own personal expenses.

Interested schools should complete and return the Registration Form, together with the bank draft or proof of a non-refundable conference fee of HK$800 (or US$103) per participant, to cro@spcc.edu.hk by 30 April 2024.
